Withey told ESPN.com early Monday that he had stopped asking for the release but then he was "shocked" when the school gave it to him. He said the signed release ends a frustrating first semester for him. Withey has now enrolled at Kansas and will be eligible midseason of 2009-10. |

Senior Sam Singh is a 5th year player who has overcome injuries and will take on more responsibility at the 5 spot. |

If that process drags on, Sacre should be a candidate for gaining a medical redshirt season. |

He started nine times in 42 career games at Villanova and missed most of last season with ankle injuries. "Casiem is interested in finding a place where he can earn significantly more playing time than he has received here," Villanova coach Jay Wright said. "Our staff is doing all it can to help him locate that opportunity." |
