Air Force Falcons Next game: Air Force at San Diego State on 10/11

10/08	10:39am	Shea Smith	QB	Probable	Virus	Freshmen quarterback Tim Jefferson relieved starter Shea Smith in the fourth quarter of the Falcons' loss to Navy in week six. Smith had to leave the game because of flulike symptoms, and the Falcons went three-and-out in the first two series that Jefferson directed. Smith returned to practice on Tuesday but Coach Calhoun said it wasn't guaranteed that Smith would start against San Diego State.
10/08	10:36am	Reggie Rembert	CB	Probable	Ankle	Rembert did not practice Tuesday because of a sprained right ankle but he said he should be ready to play Saturday against San Diego State. Rembert played offense, defense and special teams in the Falcons' first two games. Rembert has picked off one pass, broken up three others and recorded a sack on defense. He will no longer be used on kick returns now that previously injured teammates are healthy.

Folger leads the team in receptions and receiving yards. Paffet returned to the starting lineup in week six and will likely take on more of the receiving responsibilities for the Falcons.

09/20	6:49am	Spencer Armstrong	WR	Out	Fibula	Armstrong has a fractured fibula and will be out until mid-November. He suffered the injury late in week 3's game while recovering an onside kick.
09/04	8:54am	Eric Herbort	QB	Out For Year	Academics	The backup QB has decided to leave the team and concentrate on academics.

09/25	7:57am	Alex Allen	RB	Out For Year	Hip	Allen left the week 3 contest with a frightening hip injury after accumulating 36 yards on seven carries. Allen had to be taken off the field on a stretcher while immobilized and is out for the season. Dennis Kennedy took over the starting duties against Army and combined with Andrew Johnson for 128 rushing yards.
09/19	8:34am	Cowles Stewart	DL	Out For Year	Leg	RS freshman Cowles Stewart started against Wisconsin and Syracuse but suffered a season-ending hand injury. The Zips will rely on sophomore Almondo Sewell and RS freshmen Dan Marcoux and Joe Rash on the defensive line.

"McCoy was having a great game," Coach Saban said. "He pulled his hamstring..." McCoy did not play the Kentucky matchup and now has the idle week to get healthy.
08/21	9:43pm	Ezekial Knight	LB	Out For Year	Illness	Knight has been forced to give up football altogether. He has a heart condition that has prevented him from playing at all this year. Knight started 12 games in '07 with 64 tackles and 3 sacks. Freshman Jerrell Harris is slated to replace him.

Coach Erickson says the Devils' starting QB of the past 36 games is "very doubtful" to play USC. Carpenter's backup is junior Danny Sullivan, who has never started a game. Sullivan is 1-for-8 this year in mop-up duty and is 26-of-52 for 257 yards in his career with two touchdowns and one interception.

Senior Morris Wooten will replace Munns with junior Mike Nixon and true freshman Shelly Lyons providing depth. Wooten was suspended for the first three games but played well against Georgia, leading the Sun Devils with eight tackles.

A 12-game starter in 2007, Petrus has been practicing but has not dressed for either of the first two games. Petrino has given no specifics about why Petrus isn�t playing. School officials have said there has not been a violation of NCAA rules, which suggests the possibility of academic eligibility being involved.

Auburn's secondary was already thin when Aairon Savage was lost for the year due to a knee injury and this only emphasizes their need for quality depth.

He was Freshman All-American at safety before moving to CB last year and becoming one of the team's leaders. Junior Walter McFadden looks to be Savage's replacement but Auburn's CB depth will be filled by incoming true freshmen.

Love is expected to "live a normal and happy life" according to a statement released by the university, but he probably won't ever play football again.

Sophomore Tommy Gallarda is listed as the team's starter for Saturday's game with Southern Miss.

Coach Tedford isn't allowed to comment on the details of Davis's injury because the senior did not sign a waiver allowing coaches to publicly discuss his injuries but he could be out for up to six weeks.

Lee was 17-for-26 for 175 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions.

For the season Grady is 8-for-14 for 75 yards passing and a touchdown. On the ground Grady has 31 rushes for 144 yards and three touchdowns.

McCoy is a key part of the defense as he constantly draws doubl teams. OU already lost DT DeMarcus Granger to an injury as well.
