12/29	3:19pm	Connor Dietz	QB	Probable	Hand	Dietz suffered a broken hand during the loss to Utah and missed the last four weeks of the regular season. He had surgery to insert pins in his hand. Dietz had started most of the 2009 season as Tim Jefferson has been dealing with his own injury issues, but Jefferson got healthy in time to re-replace Dietz and has been starting since. Dietz has been upgraded to probable for Houston.
10/12	11:43am	Patrick Hennessey	LB	Out For Year	Shoulder	Hennessey suffered a shoulder injury and HC Calhoun said that the junior will miss the remainder of the season. He had nine tackles in the first two games of the season and freshman Alex Means took over his vacant spot in week four. Means ranks fourth on the team with 28 tackles.
10/12	11:36am	Ken Lamendola	LB	Out For Year	Knee	The Falcons' loss at Navy last weekend was costly as Ken Lamendola suffered an injury to his knee and will miss the remainder of the season. The junior injured the MCL in his left knee. Lamendola lead the team in tackles in 2008 (118) and was second on the team this year despite playing through a couple of other injuries. Senior John Falgout replaced him at Navy and made a team high 13 tackles. Falgout takes over the starting job with freshman Brian Cocoran listed as his backup.
08/21	10:09pm	Anthony Hemphill	WR	Out For Year	Left Team	Senior Anthony Hemphill has left the Air Force football program. He was listed as the Falcons' backup X receiver in camp. He played in three games a year ago.

He is probable for the National Championship Game (Texas). Carpenter is a JUCO transfer who won the starting job during fall preseason camp.
11/15	9:49am	Michael Bowman	WR	Out	Knee	True freshman WR Michael Bowman is dealing with an injured patellar tendon and is out indefinitely. Bowman is a reserve WR for the Crimson Tide this season.
10/21	10:28am	Kenny Bell	WR	Out	Shin	True freshman WR Kenny Bell has not played all season because of debilitating shin splints that keep him from practicing. He does not participate in any contact drills during practice as of Sept 21. His status for the rest of the season is out indefinitely, making him a likely redshirt candidate.
09/29	11:15pm	Jeramie Griffin	FB	Out For Year	Torn ACL	Sophomore FB Jeramie Griffin will miss the 2009 season with a torn ACL suffered during fall preseason camp. Griffin was a part of the fullback and running back rotations for the Crimson Tide in 2008.
09/28	6:59am	Dont'a Hightower	LB	Out For Year	Knee	Sophomore LB Dont'a Hightower will miss the rest of the 2009 season after undergoing surgery to repair ligament damage according to head coach Nick Saban. Hightower is known as one of the best pass-rushers in the SEC. The No. 1 WLB was replaced in the Arkansas game by fellow sophomore Courtney Upshaw.
09/15	8:11am	Damion Square	DE	Out For Year	Torn ACL	Redshirt freshman DE Damion Square tore his ACL during the Sept 12 game against Florida International and will miss the rest of the 2009 season. "It's really too bad," Saban said. "He got redshirted last year and was promising freshman. We were hopeful that he would give us great depth. But it gives somebody else an opportunity to go out and play."
08/26	6:08am	Alonzo Lawrence	S	Out For Year	Dismissed	Redshirt freshman Alonzo Lawrence was dismissed from the team during the summer session. Lawrence was listed as the No. 3 SS on the depth chart.
08/17	4:37pm	Brandon Fanney	LB	Out For Year	Transfer	Fanney has been granted permission to transfer from UA. The 2008 starter was third on the team with 66 tackles - nine for a loss. With Fanney's departure look for senior Eryk Anders to take over the starting job.

09/21	9:36pm	Rob Gronkowski	TE	Out For Year	Back	Junior Rob Gronkowski had season-ending surgery to help mend his ailing back. The Wildcats ran most of their offense through Gronkowski and will undeniably miss him. In the absence of the first-team All-Pac10 player Arizona's offense has noticeably lacked in production through the air. Junior A.J. Simmons has taken over the starting job.
08/09	1:38am	Scott Smith	DE	Out For Year	Kicked Off Team	Smith's scholarship has not been renewed and he is no longer on the football team. The sophomore reserve transferred from Cal a year ago and will not play in 2009.
08/09	1:34am	Kaniela Tuipulotu	DT	Out For Year	Transfer	Tuipulotu will transfer from Arizona to Hawaii. He started seven games in 2008 for the Wildcats but wants to be closer to home. He was listed as the No. 2 DT for 2009 as senior Earl Mitchell has a lock on the starting job.

11/22	12:33pm	Michael Smith	RB	Out For Year	Hamstring	Senior RB Michael Smith's college career is over due to a lingering hamstring injury. Smith, who has been bothered all season by the injury, carried the Razorbacks last season and was a major factor in their success this season.
09/02	7:33am	John Henderson	DT	Out For Year	Transfer	Junior NT John Henderson has signed a letter of intent with Southern Mississippi. The former JUCO transfer had originally signed with Arkansas but was granted a release. Henderson was listed as the No. 3 NT on the Razorbacks depth chart.
09/02	7:29am	Brandon Lampkin	DE	Out For Year	Transfer	Sophomore DE Brandon Lampkin transferred to Georgia Southern. The reserve DL was listed as the No. 3 LDE on the depth chart.
09/02	7:17am	Colby Berna	G	Out For Year	Redshirt	True freshman LG Colby Berna will redshirt this season to recover from offseason shoulder surgery. Berna was listed as the No. 3 LG on the Razorbacks depth chart.
08/26	6:14am	Isaac Madison	CB	Out For Year	Torn ACL	Starting CB Isaac Madison is out for the season with a torn ACL (Aug 17). The junior starter at RCB was second on the team last season with 7 passes broken up and also recorded 38 tackles and 1 interception. Sophomore Greg Gatson immediately replaced Madison, but true freshmen Darius Winston (No. 2 RCB) and David Gordon (No. 3 LCB) are receiving what would be Madison's reps in practice.

Hawthorne, who has had what some consider to be a disappointing career (ranked in the Top 3 at his position coming out of high school), leaves Auburn with 13 career catches for 253 yards. He had one receptioni in 2009.
12/23	8:58am	Eric Smith	RB	Out	Academics	Sophomore RB Eric Smith will miss the Outback Bowl (Northwestern) due to academic ineligibility. Smith is a reserve RB for the Tigers (No. 4 on depth chart). He rushed for 99 yards and caught 18 passes for 226 yards in 2009.
12/23	8:34am	Jason King	FB	Out	Suspension	Junior FB Jason King will miss the Outback Bowl (Northwestern) due to a DUI offense. King is a walk-on FB who has seen time on special teams this season.
12/23	7:41am	John Douglas	FB	Out	Suspension	Sophomore FB John Douglas will miss the Outback Bowl (Northwestern) to serve a suspension for a DUI offense. Douglas is the first-string FB, but the FB position does not factor heavily into Auburn's offense. Douglas does not have a single carry or reception this season.
12/17	6:57am	Tyrik Rollison	QB	Out	Suspension	True freshman QB Tyrik Rollison has been suspended from all Outback Bowl activities for violation of team rules. Rollison, who was the No. 3 QB prospect in his recruiting class, was expected to have a leg up on the competition for graduating senior Chris Todd's starting QB role next year, but he will have to rely on a strong spring session to move up the depth chart.
11/09	11:10am	Adam Herring	LB	Out	Foot	Sophomore LB Adam Herring re-aggravated the heel that he had surgery on during the previous offseason and is out indefinitely. Herring is a reserve LB for the Tigers.
11/03	9:15am	Zac Etheridge	S	Out For Year	Neck	Junior FS Zac Etheridge will miss the rest of the 2009 season after sustaining a neck injury (and losing consciousness momentarily) against Ole Miss while trying to make a tackle. Etheridge was the leading tackler for Auburn in 2008 and was among the leaders in 2009.
10/18	10:27am	Michael McNeil	S	Out	Leg	Junior SS Mike McNeil has been rehabbing from a broken leg suffered during fall preaseson camp and is out indefinitely. The coaching staff expects him to return in late October. Freshman Daren Bates has stepped up in McNeil's absence.
10/10	9:50am	Harris Gaston	LB	Out	Undisclosed	True freshman LB Harris Gaston will miss the Arkansas game with an undisclosed ailment, and his status from that point forward is TBD. Head coach Gene Chizik says that Gaston is experiencing "medical issues". Gaston played in the first four games of the season but did not make the trip to Knoxville last week.
10/10	9:25am	Spencer Pybus	LB	Out For Year	Concussion	Sophomore LB Spencer Pybus is likely out for the season according to head coach Gene Chizik. Pybus suffered a concussion in late August and has been held out all season. The reserve LB is the No. 2 WLB on the depth chart behind starter Eltoro Freeman.
09/19	3:05am	Montez Billings	WR	Out For Year	Left team	Senior WR Montez Billings left the team to pursue other opportunities. Billings has already graduated from Auburn University. As the leading returning receiver (24 receptions, 227 receiving yards in 2008), Billings was expected to start again this season and vie for the top receiver slot. His departure leaves a giant hole at WR that needs to be replaced immediately.
08/26	6:27am	Rudy Odom	G	Out For Year	Left team	Senior RG Rudy Odom left the team for the second time this year. The No. 2 RG on the depth chart played in two games last season while struggling through various injuries.
08/22	12:04pm	Aairon Savage	DB	Out For Year	Achilles	Projected starter Aairon Savage tore his Achilles and is out for the season.
08/09	5:45pm	Christian Thompson	S	Out For Year	Left Team	Sophomore safety Thompson has left the football program. It is unclear if he left of his own accord or was dismissed. Thompson played in 10 games in 2008 as a true freshman logging one tackle. He played a bigger role during the spring with starters Zac Etheridge and Mike McNeil limited by injuries.

11/20	11:32am	Richie Brockel	TE/FB	Out For Year	Foot	Brockel suffered a foot injury and will miss the remainder the season. Mainly a blocker throughout his collegiate career, Brockel will be missed more for his intangible influence than physical presence. The NFL prospect has 32 catches, including eight touchdowns, and two touchdown runs in his career.
09/26	8:31am	DJ Harper	RB	Out	Knee	Harper likely will miss the rest of the season after tearing the ACL in his left knee in week three. He and fellow junior tailback Jeremy Avery provided 293 rushing yards Friday night at Fresno State. Now, the workload will mostly fall to Avery with sophomore Doug Martin spelling him. HC Peterson said Harper should be able to redshirt this season, giving him two more seasons of eligibility.
09/15	5:17pm	Aaron Burks	WR	Out For Year	Redshirt	True freshman Aaron Burks likely will redshirt unless the Broncos have an injury that forces their hand, HC Petersen said. The Broncos decided to play true freshman wideout Kirby Moore against Miami - filling the one vacant slot in the receiver rotation. Burks was listed on the depth chart for the first two games but didn't play.
08/17	1:02am	Andy Silsby	FB	Out For Year	Knee	Senior fullback Andy Silsby tore an ACL in a softball game and will be out for the year. He will help coach.
08/13	12:31am	Drew Hawkins	QB	Out For Year	Personal	Quarterback-turned-wide receiver Drew Hawkins has left the football program and quit the sport because of a history of concussions. Hawkins sustained his latest concussion in a recreational softball game. He was slated to move to receiver this fall after spending his redshirt year at quarterback. The loss of Hawkins means the Broncos only have two quarterbacks on the roster who have taken a snap in a college practice - sophomore starter Kellen Moore and junior backup Mike Coughlin. True freshmen Mike Tamburo and Joe Southwick will compete for the third-string job.

12/24	7:41am	Kaleb Ramsey	DT	Questionable	Leg	Sophomore DT Kaleb Ramsey missed the UNC with a leg injury and missed the Maryland game. He is questionable for the Emerald City Bowl (USC). Ramsey has dealt with this injury all season despite playing in most of BC's games to date. The young DT is a starter for the Eagles this season

10/27	11:07am	Justin Tuggle	QB	Out For Year	Left team	Redshirt freshman QB Justin Tuggle will transfer according to head coach Tony Spaziani. Tuggle began the season as a starter but had to split time with David Shinskie, who took over as the full-time starter in Week 4.
10/27	10:55am	Josh Haden	RB	Out For Year	Left team	Sophomore RB Josh Haden has decided to leave the team, citing more playing time as a reason why he came to this decision. Haden was a reserve RB for the Eagles (No. 2 behind fellow sophomore Montel Harris).
10/09	9:05am	Ifeanyi Momah	WR	Out	Knee	Junior WR Ifeanyi Momah has been out indefinitely with a sprained right medial collateral ligament injury. It has been reported that Momah is healthy enough to play, but the Boston College coaching staff wants to redshirt him (which is why he isn't expected to play the rest of the season barring injury to other WRs). The reserve receiver caught 11 passes in 2008 for 149 yards and 3 touchdowns (second on the team last season).
08/10	5:33pm	Mark Herzlich	LB	Out For Year	Cancer	Herzlich has been diagnosed with a rare type of bone cancer in his left leg. The ACC Defensive Player of the year is two months into an aggressive chemotherapy plan and will not play in 2009. The cancer gives him a five-percent higher chance of breaking his leg. "If it breaks, the cancer spreads," he said.

12/29	3:18pm	Kevin Alvarado	DL	Out	Suspension	The Bowling Green defense will be without D-lineman Kevin Alvarado for Wednesday's bowl game vs. Idaho. The sophomore was suspended after being charged with assaulting a female in November. He has played in every game this year contributing with the D-line rotation. Alvarado finished the season with 28 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
10/12	10:11am	Tyrone Pronty	WR	Out For Year	Foot	Pronty suffered a broken foot in the season opener against Troy and was initially going to be out 4-to-6 weeks. The Falcons' recently announced he will be out for the rest of the season. The senior was second on the team with six receptions.
10/08	10:40am	Winston Etheridge	DE	Out For Year	Illness	Etheridge has been out due to an unspecified illness and HC Clawson said the RS freshman is out for the remainder of the season.
08/16	11:25pm	Calvin Wiley	WR	Out	Knee	Senior wide receiver Calvin Wiley suffered a knee injury that could possibly sideline him for the season. Concerns are Wiley, who missed the 2007 campaign because of a knee injury, suffered ligament damage. Results from an MRI will determine his fate. The Falcons have three other seniors all with starting experience slated as No. 1's.

10/08	11:30am	Shiloah Te'o	CB	Out For Year	Dismissed	Te'o was arrested on a DUI charge and subsequently has been kicked off the football team. The incident occurred in late August but HC Mendenhall was not made aware of the charges until last Saturday night.
09/30	9:15am	Jesse Taufi	OL	Out	Academics	Taufi has not yet completed academic requirements and has not played this season. He is out indefinitely. HC Mendenhall will look elsewhere to add depth to the Cougar offensive line.
09/06	8:41pm	Houston Reynolds	OL	Out For Year	Knee	Freshman Houston Reynolds suffered an ACL tear in his right knee during preseason camp and is out for the season. Reynolds was beginning his first year with the Cougars after returning from a two-year mission. He had been working with the second team at guard and center.
08/17	1:43am	Jason Speredon	G	Out For Year	Shoulder	Brigham Young's inexperienced offensive line got more bad news on Friday. Projected starting left guard Jason Speredon is out for the season with a shoulder injury. BYU coach Bronco Mendenhall said after Friday night's practice that the junior, who has undergone five major surgeries in his career, has a rotator cuff tear in his shoulder and will be out between three and five months. RS freshman Marco Thorson will take Speredon's place as the starter.
08/11	12:13pm	Bernard Afutiti	DE	Out For Year	Academics	Junior DE Bernard Afutiti is academically ineligible to compete in 2009. He will remain in school and work on becoming eligible for 2010. Afutiti missed most of spring camp for academic reasons as well. He is the third DE who will not be with the team this fall leaving seniors starters Brett Denny and Jan Jorgensen with very little depth behind them.

08/11	12:07pm	Brandon Howard	CB	Out For Year	Personal	Reserve CB Brandon Howard has decided not to return to BYU football for personal reasons. He tallied five tackles in two years.
08/11	12:03pm	Tyler Kozlowski	WR	Out For Year	Personal	Junior receiver Tyler Kozlowski has decided to discontinue playing football to concentrate on school and other priorities. He earned lettermen honors as a freshman and sophomore while appearing in 25 games primarily on special teams. He contributed in all 13 games last year while totaling 31 receiving yards on three receptions.

CT scans and x-rays came back normal but he missed the last three games of the regular season. Sophomore Shane Vereen finished the Oregon State contest and filled in as the Bears' starter. Best is questionable for Utah.
08/19	5:30pm	Tad Smith	TE	Out For Year	Knee	Tad Smith has a torn ACL in his right knee and is out for the season. Unless he petitions the NCAA for a sixth year of eligibility, his college career is over. The fifth-year senior used his redshirt year in 2005. Smith had been battling sophomore Anthony Miller for the starting job. He was primarily a backup last season and played in 12 games, catching three passes for 23 yards and a touchdown. Smith's absence means Miller should begin the season as the starting TE with senior Skylar Curran and RS freshmen Jarrett Sparks and Spencer Ladner fighting for a backup role.

Hazelton's addition could have given Cincinnati the deepest receiving corps in the Big East. Sophomore Antonio McClain has a lock on the right guard position and senior Thomas Austin will man the left guard job in 2009.

He began the year as the starter before losing his job to Endres when Frazer went out due to injury. Frazer has been largely ineffective in short bursts as the starting QB this season.

Dunlap is considered one of the top defensive ends in the nation and is a likely first round draft pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

It's still going to be a little while until he's ready." Moore has not appeared in a game all season and is eligible for a redshirt, which allows him to return for his senior season in 2010. The reserve WR gained 185 receiving yards as a junior in 2008.

Battle will be replaced by sophomore Justin Houston, who is returning after his two-game suspension.

He missed the Clemson game (ACC Championship) and will miss the Iowa game (Orange Bowl) to recover from knee surgery. Anderson, a starting DT, has become one of the better interior pass rushers in the ACC this season.

Hall recorded 13 tackles as a reserve in 2008 and had been the starter at right DE in 2009 prior to his injury. Fellow junior Anthony Egbuniwe will fill in for Hall at starting DE.

Taylor is the No. 2 FS on the depth chart behind starter Dominique Reese. His absence leaves the Yellow Jackets thin at safety.
09/29	11:49pm	Kyle Jackson	LB	Out For Year	Foot	Sophomore LB Kyle Jackson will miss the 2009 season to have season-ending surgery on his foot. Jackson sustained an injury to the Lisfranc joint of the top of his foot during preseason camp. The No. 1 MLB ranked third on the team in 2008 with 61 tackles (35 solo). Jackson, last year's ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year, did not appear in a game this season. He will likely apply for a sixth year of elibigility because he has already used his redshirt year.

Luallen is a likely candidate for a redshirt according to the Georgia Tech coaching staff, as they do not plan to play him this season. Redshirt freshman Tevin Washington and true freshman David Sims will prepare to back up starting junior QB Josh Nesbitt.

The senior linebacker was the leader of the Houston defense and among the team leaders in tackles both last year and this year. The Cougars have a lot of talented young players capable of replacing Nicholson on the field, but his leadership will be missed most.

Sophomore Roisean Haynes will get his chances at free safety. Sophomore Nick Saenz, who had been penciled in as the No. 1 strong safety, could wind up with the job. Both Saenz and Haynes played in all 13 games last year.

Another player to watch is incoming freshman Charles Sims whom the coaching staff is already singing praises for.

HC Ferentz wouldn't go into specifics, but compared it to the high ankle sprain Tony Moeaki suffered earlier this season. Ferentz is hopeful Robinson can return for the bowl game. True freshman Brandon Wegher will replace Robinson as the starting tailback, while junior Paki O'Meara becomes Wegher's top backup.

RS freshman Jeff Brinson is also in the mix, but he missed a good chunk of camp with an ankle injury.

Says head coach Les Miles: "I'm saddened that Richard Murphy will probably not make the next game and maybe the next game. It's sad to have a quality, young back get hurt, but those things happen."

He was arrested on misdemeanor charges of shoving a police officer and disturbing the peace. "I needed to go somewhere and get a fresh start, just get away from there," he said. Clemons was No. 2 at MLB behind senior Jacob Cutrera. That job will now most likely be filled by true freshman Kevin Minter or redshirt freshman Kyle Prater.

The star RB has rushed for over 1,000 yards and 11 TDs on the season as the focal point of the Herd offense. Martin Ward has received the second most carries but is yet to get consistent work this year.
12/14	8:03am	Robert Henry	TE	Questionable	Undisclosed	Henry suffered an undisclosed injury in week 12 and did not play in the regular season finale on Nov. 28 against UTEP. He should be considered questionable to go in the Little Caesars Bowl on Dec. 26 against Ohio. With top TE Cody Slate out for the year, Henry was elevated into a starting role. Without him, the Herd are extremely thin at the TE spot.

Evans, who provides depth in the Marshall receiving corps when healthy and also sees time as a kick returner, will take a redshirt and keep two years of eligibility. Highly regarded freshman Michael Rhynes seems like the most logical candidate to replace Evans, however Marshall may want Rhynes to keep his redshirt and look elsewhere for help.

While he did have movement in his extremities and was able to give a thumbs up to the crowd, he is not likely to be able to return to the football field this season. The senior tackle made 47 starts for the Hurricanes, which is third most in school history.

HC Randy Shannon, who confirmed Ojomo had surgery but would not disclose the injury, reiterated after practice that the sophomore was hurt "horsing around in the locker room." Shannon said Ojomo, who started three games last year and is one of the bright young stars at defensive end, is out indefinitely. Shannon repeated that Ojomo was not suspended for any reason.
10/16	12:28pm	Marcus Forston	DT	Out For Year	Lower extremity	Sophomore DT Marcus Forston missed the FAMU game and is out indefinitely. Forston missed the VT game (Sept 26) with a lower extremity (ankle) injury but returned for the Oklahoma game. There is a good chance that he will redshirt this season according to head coach Randy Shannon. Forston was considered the top defensive lineman on the Canes roster and one of the top DLs in the ACC entering the 2009 season, but he has struggled with injuries this season and has yet to record a tackle.
10/13	11:27am	Ryan Hill	CB	Out For Year	Upper extremity	Senior CB Ryan Hill missed the FAMU game with a shoulder injury and is likely out for the season. The senior reserve defensive back made five starts (in 13 total games) at CB last season, making 34 tackles. Hill has already missed one game this season (FSU) with a shoulder injury and currently qualifies for a medical redshirt (has only played in three games).

He finished third on the team with 73 tackles and also had an interception, adding some toughness to a defense that was one of the worst in the nation the year before he arrived. Hardy, who played injured for much of his final two seasons, is considered to be one of the better pass rushers in the SEC. He has 26.5 career sacks, including five this season.

It likely means that heralded freshman Cody Green will be ticketed for duty with the team this season and probably has killed any hopes of redshirting him. The Cornhuskers also have converted linebacker Latravis Washington and freshmen Ron Kellogg Jr. and Taylor Martinez in camp.

Bradford is the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, but now the capable Landry Jones is given the keys to the Sooner offense.

Balogun was the likely starter at MLB for the Sooners after Tom Wort went down for the season and the Oklahoma defense loses a lot of veteran leadership without Balogun.
09/09	7:58am	Jermaine Gresham	TE	Out For Year	Knee	Gresham did not play on opening night against BYU because of a knee injury and will not play again this season. The star TE has cartilage damage in his knee and needed stitches to repair it. Gresham will be replaced by the combination of Trent Ratterree and James Hanna. The 2008 first team All-American had 66 receptions for 950 yards and 14 touchdowns and is widely regarded as the best TE in the nation.

After the game, HC Mike Gundy said he was planning to give Smith an increased role in the offense that has been without top rusher Kendall Hunter for the past few weeks, but now that will not happen.

The projected starter at MLB's injury leaves a hole in the Cowboys defense, however HC Mike Gundy is confident in his depth at the position. Tolu Moala and Justin Gent should be in line for more reps on game day as well.

True freshman Cliff Harris and RS freshman Kenjon Barner both took turns in Tuesday's practice at Thurmond's vacated position.

With Mauti out, PSU's starting linebacker trio is Sean Lee, Navorro Bowman and Josh Hull. Another young linebacker to watch is Nate Stupar.

He injured his T12 vertebrae. The Bulls originally asked Delbert Alvarado to play a dual role in kicking and punting with Bonani out, but Alvarado struggled with field goals so walk-on Eric Schwartz stepped up and added some stability to the kicking game. Bonani is still not expected to play this year, but the Bulls remain in BIG EAST contention, he might try to return.

While Perkins provides no considerable loss to the defensive backfield, he was a star on special teams and considered among the fastest players with the Bulls.

Holland suffered the concussion more than a year ago and sat out all of 2008 as well. To his credit, he's sticking with the program and hopes to return to the field for the Aggies in 2010. As a freshman, Holland had just four catches for 52 yards and a score but he has some promise as a receiver.

Troy's secondary was already suspect entering the season. They already had to replace three departed starters and was counting on Calvin's experience. The other projected starting CB, Bryan Willis, is a RS freshman. Their safeties, Courtland Fuller and Chris Bowens, combined for just 34 tackles last year. Fuller played in every game, while Bowens played in eight, starting one. Calvin's expected replacement has not been announced, but sophomore KeJuan Phillips was the second-stringer behind him. Phillips made three tackles and an interception last year.

He is apparently feeling a lot better as he is expected to play in Tuesday's bowl game without the brace. Carter is the team leader with 72 tackles.
12/28	1:27pm	Nate Chandler	TE	Probable	Quad	Chandler has been slowed by a strained quadriceps but has been upgraded to probable for Tuesday's bowl game. The backup has played in 11 games this year primarily as a blocking tight end.
12/28	1:23pm	Stan Hasiak	OL	Out	Disciplinary	Hasiak has been sent home to Hawaii due to disciplinary reasons and will not play in the Bruins' bowl game Tuesday. The freshman was one of UCLA's biggest recruits this past offseason.
12/28	1:16pm	Kai Maiava	C	Out	Academics	The Bruin offensive line took another hit recently when center Kai Maiava became academically ineligible. HC Neuheisel has shifted Jake Dean to center and moved senior Nick Ekbatani into the lineup. Ekbatani started 12 games last season.
12/28	1:14pm	Ryan Taylor	OL	Questionable	Foot	Taylor has been out with an injured foot since November but HC Neuheisel says he might be able to spell Ekbatani in Tuesday's bowl game.
12/28	1:11pm	Eddie Williams	OL	Out For Year	Ankle	Williams suffered a season-ending ankle injury in October and will not play in Tuesday's bowl game. His replacement, Ryan Taylor, injured his foot in November, thrusting junior Jake Dean into the lineup. Dean started seven games last season.
12/28	1:01pm	Micah Kia	OL	Out For Year	Knee	Senior Micah Kia suffered a torn ACL in his right knee during practice Wednesday and will undergo surgery. The loss of Kia costs the Bruins an experienced offensive lineman, one who had started 15 games in his three-year UCLA career. Highly touted freshman Stanley Hasiak would have been a solid replacement had he not been sent home due to personal reasons.

11/23	10:51pm	Derrick Shelby	LB	Out For Year	Knee	Shelby will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL. He suffered the injury against TCU. The sophomore ranks fifth on the team in tackles but first in tackles for losses. In his absence, players such as Nai Fotu, Christian Cox and Junior Tui'one will be called upon to pick up the slack.
11/10	2:24pm	Kenape Eliapo	NT	Out	Eye	Eliapo still has an issue that is interrelated to his eye problem. He will not play this week and it is possible he may be done for the season - but there is no exact determination on that. The senior has played in seven games this year and has 16 tackles. RS freshman Dave Kruger was in the starting lineup in week 10.
10/01	11:41am	Matt Asiata	RB	Out For Year	Knee	Asiata suffered a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the season, possibly ending his collegiate career. The school will ask the NCAA to grant Asiata a sixth season of eligibility if that is something he wishes to pursue. Junior Eddie Wide relieved Asiata in week four and rushed for a career-high 129 yards. Wide likely takes over the starting duties.
09/24	12:35pm	Latu Heimuli	DL	Out For Year	Foot	Freshman Heimuli broke his foot and will miss the remainder of the season. He will redshirt now. Heimuli did not accrue any defensive stats in this young season.
08/20	9:50pm	Corbin Louks	QB	Out For Year	Transfer	Junior QB Corbin Louks has decided to transfer to Nevada. Louks had been working out at safety since learning he had fallen to No. 3 on the depth chart but he wants to play quarterback, which led to the decision.

11/14	8:49am	James Brindley	S	Out	Hamstring	Brindley pulled a hamstring a couple of weeks ago and is out indefinitely. It is possible that the senior is done for the remainder of the season. Brindley ranks second on the team with 63 tackles. Junior Maxim Dinka Mba and Rajric Coleman will likely be the starting safeties vs. San Jose State.
