Sophomore Josh Hall would step into the starting CB spot if Rembert doesn't play again.

09/16	12:03pm	PJ Adeji-Paul	CB	Out	Unknown	Adeji-Paul left last week's game with an unspecified injury and HC Calhoun said he will be out about three weeks. Adeji-Paul was starting in place of junior Reggie Rembert who has been serving a suspension. Sophomore Josh Hall will move into the starting role if Rembert does not return this week.

08/21	10:09pm	Anthony Hemphill	WR	Out For Year	Left Team	Senior Anthony Hemphill has left the Air Force football program. He was listed as the Falcons' backup X receiver in camp. He played in three games a year ago.
08/09	1:29am	Kyle Lumpkin	TB	Out For Year	Academics	Lumpkin will sit out the 2009 season due to academic reasons. He ranked third on the team in rushing last year. Starting tailback Asher Clark will be backed up by junior Savier Stephens.

His status for the Sept 19 game against North Texas is doubtful. Harris received a laptop from Auburn booster Curtis Anderson, the same man who paid for a fishing trip for fellow Alabama sophomores Mark Ingram and Julio Jones. Harris, a reserve SLB (No. 2 on the depth chart), played in 10 games as a true freshman in 2008.
09/19	3:08am	Roy Upchurch	RB	Doubtful	Ankle	Senior RB Roy Upchurch suffered a high ankle sprain during his first start in 30 games for the Crimson Tide (Sept 12 vs. FIU). He has not participated in full practice drills this week. His status for the Sept 19 game against North Texas is doubtful. Upchurch was starting in place of sophomore RB Mark Ingram, who had been battling the flu the week of the game. While Upchurch recovers, Terry Grant and true freshman Trent Richardson will take snaps at reserve tailback.

His status for the Sept 19 game against North Texas is doubtful, as he is not participating in full contact drills in practice. Jones was a second team All SEC performer in 2008, leading Alabama in receiving yards (924), receptions (58), and TD receptions (4).

He does not participate in any contact drills during practice. His status for the rest of the season is questionable, making him a likely redshirt candidate.
09/15	8:11am	Damion Square	DE	Out For Year	Torn ACL	Redshirt freshman DE Damion Square tore his ACL during the Sept 12 game against Florida International and will miss the rest of the 2009 season. "It's really too bad," Saban said. "He got redshirted last year and was promising freshman. We were hopeful that he would give us great depth. But it gives somebody else an opportunity to go out and play."

08/07	6:48pm	Prince Hall	LB	Out For Year	Transfer	Hall will play his senior season at Central Washington. The often-troubled linebacker has been suspended a number of times during his time at Alabama and decided it was time leave the program.

09/17	1:08pm	Rob Gronkowski	TE	Out	Back	Junior Rob Gronkowski has yet to play in a game this year due to a back injury. His status for week three at Iowa had been upgraded to probable but now HC Stoops says the All-Pac-10 TE won't play after all. The 2-0 Wildcats run most of their offense through Gronkowski and will sorely miss him.
08/09	1:38am	Scott Smith	DE	Out For Year	Kicked Off Team	Smith's scholarship has not been renewed and he is no longer on the football team. The sophomore reserve transferred from Cal a year ago and will not play in 2009.
08/09	1:34am	Kaniela Tuipulotu	DT	Out For Year	Transfer	Tuipulotu will transfer from Arizona to Hawaii. He started seven games in 2008 for the Wildcats but wants to be closer to home. He was listed as the No. 2 DT for 2009 as senior Earl Mitchell has a lock on the starting job.

09/16	12:35pm	Zach Schlink	OL	Out	Knee	Schlink had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to remove cartilage forcing him to miss the season opener. The sophomore is not expected to play until Oct. 3 against Oregon State.
08/27	7:09pm	James Brooks	DE	Out	Suspension	Sophomore DE James Brooks will sit out the first three games of the season due to a violation of team rules. Brooks has been low on the preseason camp depth chart after coming out of spring practice on the first team. The main candidates to start at end opposite senior Dexter Davis are JUCO transfer Dean DeLeone and sophomore Jamaar Jarrett.

The fifth-year senior appeared to have injured his ankle at first but later was found to have suffered what could be a ligament tear. He was expected to be a backup split end this season behind Kerry Taylor and Gerell Robinson.

His target return date is Sept 26 against Alabama. Lucas' absence hits the Razorbacks' depth a little as he was to be part of the receiving rotation, although not a starter.
09/09	10:02am	London Crawford	WR	Out	Collarbone	Senior WR London Crawford will miss 4-6 weeks after breaking his collarbone against Missouri State on Sept 5. The first-string receiver started in 11 games in 2008 and was a starter in the opener. Crawford recorded two catches for 44 yards against Missouri State. It is not known how Crawford's injury will affect Arkansas, as the Razorbacks have one of the deepest receiving corps in the SEC. Thirteen different players caught passes during the Sept 5 season opener.

09/02	7:29am	Brandon Lampkin	DE	Out For Year	Transfer	Sophomore DE Brandon Lampkin transferred to Georgia Southern. The reserve DL was listed as the No. 3 LDE on the depth chart.
09/02	7:17am	Colby Berna	G	Out For Year	Redshirt	True freshman LG Colby Berna will redshirt this season to recover from offseason shoulder surgery. Berna was listed as the No. 3 LG on the Razorbacks depth chart.
08/26	6:14am	Isaac Madison	CB	Out For Year	Torn ACL	Starting CB Isaac Madison is out for the season with a torn ACL (Aug 17). The junior starter at RCB was second on the team last season with 7 passes broken up and also recorded 38 tackles and 1 interception. Sophomore Greg Gatson immediately replaced Madison, but true freshmen Darius Winston (No. 2 RCB) and David Gordon (No. 3 LCB) are receiving what would be Madison's reps in practice.
08/09	5:25pm	Khiry Battle	LB	Out For Year	Dismissed	Backup LB Battle has been dismissed from the football team after being arrested twice within the span of seven weeks. The sophomore's vacated No. 2 MLB job will most likely be filled by junior Jermaine Love who has nine tackles in two seasons.

The senior had one start last year and had an impressive average of 16.4 yards per catch. Outside of senior Jahbari McLennan the Red Wolves have few players with much playing time under their belt.

09/19	6:55am	Trent Steelman	QB	Probable	Ribs	Starting QB Steelman, the first freshman to start at Army in over 50 years, was limited on Saturday Sept. 12 against Duke due to an injury to his ribs. Consider him probable to play heading into week three, but his role is TBD. Junior QB Chip Bowden, the starter in 2008, had been taking the bulk of the first team reps in practice, but it was Carson Williams who saw the game day snaps when Steelman was out.

As the leading returning receiver (24 receptions, 227 receiving yards in 2008), Billings was expected to start again this season and vie for the top receiver slot. His departure leaves a giant hole at WR that needs to be replaced immediately.
09/17	9:45am	Antoine Carter	DE	Questionable	Knee	Junior DE Antoine Carter has returned to practice this week (Sept 14) after missing most of the fall preseason camp and the first two games of the season. The No. 2 DE is expected to be available for the game on Sept 19 against West Virginia, but it is not known at this time if he will play according to defensive line coach Tracy Rocker.
09/17	9:38am	Drew Cole	S	Out	Ankle	Sophomore FS Drew Cole will miss the Sept 19 game against West Virginia with an ankle injury. Cole sustained the injury during Auburn's SEC opener against Mississippi State. Cole's absence, combined with the preseason injuries to Aairon Savage and Mike McNeil, thins out the Auburn defensive back rotation.
09/17	9:22am	Tommy Trott	TE	Doubtful	Knee	Senior TE Tommy Trott injured his right knee during the Sept 12 game against Mississippi State. His status for the game against West Virginia is doubtful. Says head coach Gene Chizik, "Right now, we just don't know." In 2008, Trott made 11 starts at TE and amassed over 200 receiving yards. If Trott is unable to go, true freshman Phillip Lutzenkirchen will start in his place.
08/26	6:27am	Rudy Odom	G	Out For Year	Left team	Senior RG Rudy Odom left the team for the second time this year. The No. 2 RG on the depth chart played in two games last season while struggling through various injuries.
08/22	12:44pm	Tim Hawthorne	WR	Out	Foot	Junior receiver Tim Hawthorne is still recovering from a broken foot in July and is expected to miss at least the first four games of the season. The Tigers had high hopes for Hawthorne as he emerged as the No. 1 receiving threat in the spring. Junior Terrell Zachery, sophomore Darvin Adams and senior Montez Billings are currently the frontrunners to start.
08/22	12:40pm	Michael McNeil	DB	Out	Leg	Junior Mike McNeil is still rehabbing from a broken leg and probably will not be ready until midseason. Freshman Daren Bates has made a favorable impression in each of the team's first two scrimmages and it looks like HC Chizik has found the player who will step up in McNeil's absence.

Thompson played in 10 games in 2008 as a true freshman logging one tackle. He played a bigger role during the spring with starters Zac Etheridge and Mike McNeil limited by injuries.

09/08	1:52am	Madaris Grant	TE	Out For Year	Knee	Grant tore his ACL in the first quarter of the season opener and will undergo surgery in a couple of weeks. The senior and team captain will petition the NCAA for a sixth year of eligibility. After Thursday's loss, HC Parrish said Grant was the one player he couldn't afford to lose. Grant's replacement has not been determined. Sophomore Ryan Hartke, who had never played the position before, filled in Thursday night but was called for a holding penalty that nullified a Ball State touchdown. Freshman Zane Fakes, a converted running back, will compete with Hartke for the starting job.
08/13	2:07am	Derrick Henry	S	Out For Year	Academics	Junior Derrick Henry was expected to provide depth in the Cardinals' secondary but is not with the team because of what coach Stan Parrish termed "academic issues" encountered during the spring semester. Henry finished 2008 with 42 tackles, but he had only 12 in the final seven games. While unable to play regularly on defense, he was regarded as a key performer on special teams.

The position was thin to begin with for Boise State, and it got thinner before the start of fall camp when HC Petersen suspended talented defensive tackle Michael Atkinson following a DUI arrest. Boise State still has two excellent, explosive and aggressive defensive tackles - Chase Baker and Billy Winn - but no proven performers behind them.

09/15	5:17pm	Aaron Burks	WR	Out For Year	Redshirt	True freshman Aaron Burks likely will redshirt unless the Broncos have an injury that forces their hand, HC Petersen said. The Broncos decided to play true freshman wideout Kirby Moore against Miami - filling the one vacant slot in the receiver rotation. Burks was listed on the depth chart for the first two games but didn't play.
09/14	7:19pm	Michael Atkinson	DT	Out	Suspension	Freshman defensive tackle Michael Atkinson has not played yet this season due to a suspension and is expected to miss Friday vs. Fresno State. Atkinson was arrested in July on a DUI charge after a car accident. He also was charged with leaving the scene of an accident. Both charges are misdemeanors. Sophomores Billy Winn and Chase Baker appear to be at the top of the depth chart.

The sophomore made one start as a RS freshman last year. Junior Will Lawrence has been starting in his place.
08/17	1:02am	Andy Silsby	FB	Out For Year	Knee	Senior fullback Andy Silsby tore an ACL in a softball game and will be out for the year. He will help coach.
08/13	12:31am	Drew Hawkins	QB	Out For Year	Personal	Quarterback-turned-wide receiver Drew Hawkins has left the football program and quit the sport because of a history of concussions. Hawkins sustained his latest concussion in a recreational softball game. He was slated to move to receiver this fall after spending his redshirt year at quarterback. The loss of Hawkins means the Broncos only have two quarterbacks on the roster who have taken a snap in a college practice - sophomore starter Kellen Moore and junior backup Mike Coughlin. True freshmen Mike Tamburo and Joe Southwick will compete for the third-string job.

When healthy, McLaughlin is expected to provide stability to a linebacker crew that lost its leader, Mark Herzlich, to cancer for the entire 2009 season. In 2008, McLaughlin started all 14 games for Boston College and was second on the team in tackles with 89 (53 solo) and four sacks.
09/18	12:18pm	Ifeanyi Momah	WR	Doubtful	Knee	Junior WR Ifeanyi Momah has been out indefinitely with a sprained right medial collateral ligament injury, but he is listed as doubtful for the Sept 19 game against Clemson. The reserve receiver caught 11 passes in 2008 for 149 yards and 3 touchdowns (second on the team last season).

Thompson is listed as the No. 1 WLB on the depth chart. In Thompson's absence, true freshman Luke Kuechly will see significant playing time.
09/18	12:16pm	James McCluskey	FB	Out	Achilles	Junior FB James McCluskey battled an Achilles injury for most of fall preseason camp and has missed the first two games of the season. He is ruled out for the Sept 19 game against Clemson. In 2008, McCluskey rushed for 84 yards on 23 carries and one touchdown and also caught 19 passes for 123 yards. Senior DT Brendan Deska could see action at FB during McCluskey's absence.
09/17	8:52am	Damik Scafe	DT	Doubtful	Undisclosed	Junior DT Damik Scafe did not practice on Sept 16, and his status for the Sept 19 game against Clemson is questionable. Scafe and sophomore Kaleb Ramsey are being depended upon to fill the void left by NFL draft picks BJ Raji and Ron Brace at DT.
08/10	5:33pm	Mark Herzlich	LB	Out For Year	Cancer	Herzlich has been diagnosed with a rare type of bone cancer in his left leg. The ACC Defensive Player of the year is two months into an aggressive chemotherapy plan and will not play in 2009. The cancer gives him a five-percent higher chance of breaking his leg. "If it breaks, the cancer spreads," he said.

The QB position in BC is a bit chaotic. There are six QB's on the roster, NONE of which have taken an in-game snap from under center in their careers. Billy Flutie has played college ball - at wide receiver, punter and holder - but he will only get a handful of chances for "change-of-pace" snaps. Codi Boek played in every game last year, including four starts - at FullBack. The other four candidates are either true freshmen or redshirt freshmen.

08/25	12:57pm	James Starks	RB	Out For Year	Shoulder	Buffalo's chances of repeating as MAC champions suffered a major blow Tuesday when the school announced that star senior running back James Starks will miss the season with a labral tear in his shoulder. Starks is a fifth-year senior and has no eligibility remaining. Starks is the school's all-time leading rusher with 3,140 yards and 34 rushing touchdowns. He has scored the most points (222) of any player in Buffalo's history and ranks fifth in all-purpose yardage with 3,830 yards. In his absence, junior Brandon Thermilus will start. Thermilus rushed 100 times for 454 yards and seven touchdowns as a backup last season.

Projected starting left guard Jason Speredon is out for the season with a shoulder injury. BYU coach Bronco Mendenhall said after Friday night's practice that the junior, who has undergone five major surgeries in his career, has a rotator cuff tear in his shoulder and will be out between three and five months. RS freshman Marco Thorson will take Speredon's place as the starter.

Shaw could miss six to eight weeks, but Johnson also said he might redshirt Shaw this season. There are still three other scholarship quarterbacks on the roster -- redshirt freshman Tevin Washington and true freshmen Jordan Luallen and David Sims. Luallen has not practiced since Aug. 8 because of an ankle injury.

Scott Enos is the likely Warrior kicker in 2009. Enos is a successful product of Chris Sailer's prestigious kicking program. At Sailer's 2008 Spring Event by Nike, Enos placed first in field goals and fifth in kickoffs among JC and transfer kickers. Enos was named to the Grid-Wire Preseason All-America third team in 2008.

It likely means that heralded freshman Cody Green will be ticketed for duty with the team this season and probably has killed any hopes of redshirting him. The Cornhuskers also have converted linebacker Latravis Washington and freshmen Ron Kellogg Jr. and Taylor Martinez in camp.

Sophomore Audie Cole (14 tackles last year) and redshirt freshman William Beasley will be counted on to fill Irving's.

09/12	5:00pm	Adam Hahn	DL	Questionable	Foot	Senior Adam Hahn has not been practicing due to a foot injury and sat out the first two games of the season. Pre-camp depth charts had Hahn down as a projected starter. Junior Corbin Bryant and senior Marshall Thomas are the starting defensive tackles while sophomores Jack DiNardo and Niko Mafuli are listed as backups.
09/05	8:50am	Alex Daniel	RB	Out For Year	Ankle	RS freshman Alex Daniel will miss the 2009 with an ankle injury. The highly touted recruit was expected to compete for the starting job this season and was in the top three vying for the spot going into the 2009 preseason camp. Junior Stephen Simmons will be the starter and true freshman Arby Fields will back him up.
08/26	9:56pm	Chris Jeske	LB	Out For Year	Multiple	Senior LB Chris Jeske has decided to end his playing career after battling injuries for four seasons including back problems that eventually required surgery and also a torn ACL and meniscus. He appeared in three games last year, mostly on special teams.

09/19	7:06am	Michael Floyd	WR	Probable	Leg	Floyd walked off the field halfway through the fourth quarter last weekend against Michigan due to a leg injury and did not return. His injury does not appear serious however, and Notre Dame expects to have Floyd on the field Saturday Sept. 19 against Michigan State. The star receiver was over 100 yards receiving for the second straight game before departing and Floyd is one of the top wideouts in the country when healthy.
09/15	4:12pm	James Aldridge	FB	Doubtful	Shoulder	Aldridge did not play on Saturday Sept. 12 against Michigan due to a sprained right shoulder that is expected to keep him out for at least another week. He is doubtful to play on Sept 19 against Michigan State. The senior, who shifted from tailback to fullback this offseason, had 3 carries in week one. Junior Robert Hughes is starting at fullback in Aldridge's absence.
08/13	1:10am	Nate Montana	QB	Out For Year	Transfer	Nate Montana, Joe Montana�s oldest son, has decided to transfer to Pasadena City College in the hopes of getting some reps as a starting quarterback to better prepare him for division one football. He intends to transfer back to Notre Dame in the spring. Junior starter Jimmy Clausen wil most likely be backed up by redshirt freshman Dayne Crist.
08/13	1:07am	Joseph Fauria	TE	Out For Year	Transfer	Sophomore Joseph Fauria has decided to transfer to UCLA. It appears he was suspended for the fall semester. Fauria had moved up to No. 2 on the tight end depth chart and that spot will probably be filled by sophomore Mike Ragone who made one reception his true freshman season.
