09/2810:38pmDerek OwensCB Out For Year TransferOwens will leave Georgia and transfer to another school closer to his hometown in Jacksonville, Florida.  The sophomore appeared in the first three games this season, but did not travel with the team to Mississippi.  For his Bulldog career, Owens appeared in 15 games having 8 tackles and 1 fumble recovery.

Junior Shawn Williams has been very impressive in camp and has all but locked down the starting free safety job.  Hamilton has decided to transfer and not play for Georgia.  He most likely will transfer to South Carolina State. 
08/095:34pmTrinton SturdivantOL Out For Year KneeSturdivant suffered a torn ACL during the spring scrimmage and will likely miss the 2011 season. The senior has been one of Georgia's top linemen when healthy but has missed a lot of time due to two other major knee injuries. The Bulldogs will rely on several young and inexperienced players this fall.

The RS freshman and former four-star recruit will have three years of eligibility remaining. Though he was held out of some drills during spring practice, he was listed as the No. 2 right guard on the preseason depth chart.
08/0411:04pmChris MayesDT Out For Year TransferMayes is headed to Mississippi Gulf Coast CC to play football this fall and plans to return to Georgia after he graduates. The true freshman was not likely to see a lot of playing time for the Bulldogs this year.
08/0410:59pmAJ HarmonOT Out For Year TransferHarmon decided to transfer to Alabama State, citing personal reasons. The junior played in seven games the past couple years and was expected to be one of the primary backup tackles this season.

The junior was the Bulldogs' leading rusher last year and was granted an unconditional release by Coach Richt after the two reached a mutual decision that Ealey would be better off continuing his football career elsewhere. With senior Caleb King ineligible for the fall term, true freshman Isaiah Crowell is preparing for the starting tailback role.
08/011:35pmCaleb KingRB Out For Year AcademicsKing is academically ineligible for the fall term and will miss the entire season. After Washaun Ealey transferred out in June, King was likely to take the reigns of the starting job had it not been for his grades. True freshman phenom Isaiah Crowell is now expected to be the starting tailback early this fall.

11/2810:49pmIsaiah CrowellRB Probable AnkleCrowell sat out the Georgia Tech game to rest up for the LSU game this week.  The freshman rested his injured ankle last week but was dressed and participated in pre-game warmups.  Crowell is back at practice this week.  He leads the team with 832 rushing yards and 5 TD's. 
11/281:25amJordan LoveCB Questionable HandLove missed last game due to the broken hand he suffered against Auburn.  The sophomore is back at practice with a protective cast but is still wearing a non-contact jersey.  Coach Mark Richt said Love is questionable this week.
11/281:25amRantavious WootenWR Out ConcussionWooten was injured in a car accident and has not been able to play.  Wooten has 2 catches on the season for 39 yards and a TD.  The junior hasn't played for the past 8 weeks.
11/281:24amIsrael TroupeWR Questionable KneeTroupe has been out with a knee injury.  Coach Mark Richt expects the senior to be available soon.  Troupe has one catch on the year for 20 yards.  He did not play in the past 5 games.
11/281:24amAustin LongOT Questionable AnkleLong injured his ankle in the Vanderbilt game.  The sophomore hasn't been able to practice and coach Mark Richt said he is questionable to play this Saturday.  Long did not play the past 5 weeks.
11/0111:48pmRichard SamuelRB Out AnkleSamuel is out for four weeks after having ankle surgery this week.  Samuel was the second leading rusher for the Bulldogs with 240 yards and 1 TD.  He will miss the rest of the regular season but should be back for the bowl game.
10/2111:33pmKolton HoustonRG Out EligibilityHouston has not been able to play this season due to an unspecified issue with the NCAA, coach Mark Richt announced.  The redshirt freshman was to be a #1 reserve lineman off the bench this season.  Richt thinks that it will all be cleared up but he didn't know how soon.

11/0510:06pmKen MalcomeRB Probable SuspendedMalcome was suspended for a violation of team rules. Coach Mark Richt didn't go into detail but reports are that the suspension was for a failed drug test. Malcome has appeared in only one game this season.  Sophomore RB Brandon Harton (33 yards) is next on the depth chart.

It is SEC rule that any time a player leads with his helmet and goes towards the head or neck of a defenseless opponent they will be suspended.
10/2111:36pmKwame GeathersNG Out SuspendedGeathers has been suspended for the first half against Florida on October 29th by the SEC. The sophomore was suspended after receiving a personal foul penalty against Vandy. It is SEC rule that any personal foul penalty will result in a suspension.
10/2111:34pmCornelius WashingtonOLB Probable SuspendedWashington sat out the last two games after getting arrested earlier this month.  The junior received a speeding ticket and a DUI.  Washington lead the Bulldogs with 3.5 sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss this season before the suspension.  He should be available for the Florida game. 
10/2111:34pmAlec OgletreeILB Out FootOgletree underwent surgery earlier this month for a broken foot. He left the season opener in the first quarter with the injury. The sophomore has been out since the injury. Ogletree had 34 tackles last season as a true freshman.

10/027:51pmChris BurnetteRG Questionable KneeBurnette went down with a knee injury in practice.  Coach Mark Richt says it was just a tweaked knee but Burnette hasn't played the last two weeks .  The sophomore injured the same knee his freshman year.  Burnette had started all season at right guard for the Bulldogs.

09/2612:01amMarlon BrownWR Doubtful AnkleBrown has been hobbled by an ankle injury and had been playing through it.  Coach Mark Richt admitted the junior isn't at 100% and that he needed to rest it.  Brown has 4 catches on the year for 24 yards.  He sat out week 3 during the blowout of Coastal Carolina and again during the win against Mississippi.
09/2511:56pmChristian RobinsonLB Questionable FootRobinson injured his foot during the Bulldogs' loss to South Carolina.  The junior has been out for the last couple of weeks.  Robinson started 11 games last season and finished the year with 46 tackles.  Coach Mark Richt says there is hope to get Robinson back this week against Miss. St., providing a boost to the defense.

09/199:52amAron WhiteTE Probable KneeWhite was held out of practice last week with a knee injury.  The senior backup is expected to only miss one game.  He did not play in week 3.  Sophomore Arthur Lynch is next in line to backup starter Orson Charles. 
09/199:48amRichard Samual RB Probable HeelSamuel has been hindered of late with a nagging heel injury. The senior has been limited in practice.  Coach Mark Richt said that Samual is kind of hobbled and if he can't play this week, backup duties will be handled by junior Carlton Thomas.  Freshman Isaiah Crowell will get his first start this week.  Samual did not play in week 3.
09/199:47amKenarious GatesOG Probable AnkleGates injured his ankle in the 2nd quarter of the season opener.  The sophomore starter is expected back in time for week 4 according to coach Mark Richt.  Gates did not play in weeks 2 and 3.

09/1212:35amCarlton ThomasRB Questionable SuspendedThomas was suspended for the first game of the season due to a violation of team rules back in the spring. The junior, by attrition, is the team's leading returning rusher from last season (272 yards).  Coach Mark Richt has yet to say if Thomas will be playing in week 3.  He did not play in week 2.
09/1212:34amAustin LongOT Probable MonoLong missed practice last month after being diagnosed with mononucleosis. The sophomore backup is probable for week 3.  He has yet to play this season.

09/082:39pmBacarri RamboDB Probable SuspensionRambo isn't starting at safety for the Bulldogs in the first game.  Coach Mark Richt wouldn't address if Rambo was suspended for the game or not.  Rambo was off to the side of practice not taking part in drills.  The junior had 82 tackles last year for Georgia.  Junior Sanders Commings and Junior Shawn WIlliams are now the starters at safety.  Rambo did not play in week 1.  He is probable for week 2.

08/274:33pmJohn JenkinsDL Probable HamstringJenkins left practice last week with a mild hamstring pull.  The status of the JC transfer is unknown.  If he is unable to go, he will be replaced in the lineup by sophmore Kwame Geathers.  Coach Mark Richt upgraded Jenkins to probable on Friday. 
08/2610:41amMalcolm MitchellWR Questionable LegMitchell suffered a leg muscle injury in practice this week and is questionable for the season opener.  The freshman has been held out of practice and Coach Mark Richt is still not sure of the details of the injury.
