| 08/21 | 4:19pm | Drayton Calhoun | RB | Out For Year | Eligibility | Calhoun is awaiting a decision from the NCAA on his latest appeal for eligibility. The RS freshman transferred from LSU over the winter due to a family hardship and his original request to play immediately was denied. The top three spots at tailback appear to be locked up even if Calhoun becomes eligible.

| 08/05 | 3:41pm | Paramore Tapa | DL | Out For Year | Academics | Tapa did not meet academic requirements and will not play for the Blue Raiders this year. The JUCO transfer was one of MTSU's top defensive line recruits this year and was expected to add depth in the trenches.

| 08/05 | 3:38pm | Marcques Dixon | CB | Out For Year | Academics | Dixon did not qualify and will go to JUCO. The Blue Raiders have four other defensive back recruits ranked higher than Dixon. He may have had a difficult time finding playing time this fall.

The Blue Raiders possess quite a deep and talented group of receivers, so Hampton may have found it difficult to earn playing time this fall despite being the school's top receiving recruit.

| 11/28 | 1:16am | Jordan Johnson | LT |  Doubtful | Ankle | Johnson has been held out with a high ankle sprain. The sophomore backup offensive lineman has not played this season. He is doubtful for the next game. He has played in 3 games in his Blue Raider career. |
| 11/28 | 1:16am | DD Kyles | RB | Doubtful | Knee | Kyles has been out with a knee injury. Kyles has 275 yards and 3 TD's on the season. Coach Rick Stockstill said that sophomore William Pratcher will continue to fill in for Kyles and Benjamin Cunningham. |

| 11/22 | 10:42am | Malcolm Beyah | WR | Doubtful | Knee | Beyah has been out with a knee injury. The senior has missed the past two games and is listed as doubtful for this week. Beyah has 42 catches on the season for 469 yards and 6 TD's. |

| 11/15 | 11:23pm | Benny Cunningham | RB |  Questionable | Foot | Cunningham went out with a foot injury during the 2nd quarter of the Memphis game. The junior did not return. Cunningham has not played since the injury. Redshirt freshman William Pratcher will continue to start. |

| 10/23 | 7:08pm | Jonathan Brooks | LB | Questionable | Suspended | Brooks was suspended the last two games for violation of team rules. The redshirt freshman was to play meaningful minutes as a backup linebacker. Coach Rick Stockstill hasn't said if Brooks would play in the next game. |

| 10/16 | 12:55am | Corey Carmichael | LB | Questionable | Suspended | Carmichael was suspended for the last two games due to a violation of team rules. The sophomore started 3 games last season and finished with 35 tackles for the Blue Raiders. No word yet if Carmichael will be back for the next game. |

| 09/18 | 9:53pm | Justin Jones | LB | Doubtful | Thumb | Jones is doubtful for week 4. He has been out of practice with a broken thumb. The junior started 8 games last season, had 68 tackles and 1 sack. He has not played this season. |

| 08/27 | 8:48pm | D.D. Kyles | RB | Doubtful | Hamstring | Kyles has been hindered this preseason with hamstring and ankle problems. The senior has been unable to practice and Coach Rick Stockstill is not sure if Kyles will be ready for the season opener. Kyles is a backup but gets a lot of playing time. He carried the ball 77 times last season for 459 yards. |
| 08/27 | 8:44pm | Logan Kilgore | QB |  Starter | None | Kilgore was named the starter for the Blue Raiders. Coach Rick Stockstill said that Kilgore is the starter for the season opener and will take most of the snaps. The sophomore was in a QB battle with junior Jeff Murphy. Coach Stockstill said that Murphy will still get some reps but the Raiders are moving forward with Kilgore as the starter. Kilgore started 3 games last season. Murphy started 1 last season. |
| 08/23 | 2:57pm | Shane Blissard | WR | Doubtful | Hamstring | Blissard tweaked his hamstring in practice and has been sidelined. His status for the upcoming game is uncertain. The senior will have reserve role this season. |
| 08/23 | 2:55pm | Jadareius Hamlin | RT |  Probable | Forehead | Hamlin had a minor car wreck after practice Wednesday. The sophomore suffered a cut on his forehead, which required stitches. Hamlin is out for a few practices because wearing a helmet could open the stitches. |
| 08/23 | 2:45pm | Stephen Roberts | MLB | Doubtful | Knee | Roberts injured his knee in practice. The severity has not been determined. Its the opposite knee from the sophomore's torn ACL a year ago. Craig Allen, Jonathan Brooks, Christian Henry are possible fill-ins. |
