12/14	12:27am	Archie Muniz	OT	Out For Year	Knee	Muniz had surgery this week to repair torn knee ligaments. The redshirt freshman had little playing time this season and hopes to be ready for spring practice next year.
12/14	12:25am	Dylan Favre	QB	Out For Year	Transfer	Favre has decided to transfer to Pearl River Community College. The third teamer played sparingly this season. Favre was a redshirt freshman this season.

11/18	10:43pm	Nickoe Whitley	FS	Out For Year	Foot	Whitley is out for the season after suffering a ruptured achilles tendon in his left foot. The sophomore had started 7 games this season. He will finish the season with 34 total tackles and is 2nd on the team with 4 INT's.

09/17	12:40am	Tobias Smith	RG	Out For Year	Knee	Smith went down last night with a knee injury on the Bulldog's first drive against LSU. He did not return to the game but was on the sideline with crutches. Smith has played in 15 games in his Bulldog career. It was released today that Smith has a partially torn ACL and is out for the year. To fill the gap left by Smith, the Bulldogs moved starting senior center Quentin Saulsberry to right guard and brought in freshman Dillon Day to play center.

08/30	2:21am	Shaquille Perry	RB	Out For Year	Transfer	Incoming freshman Shaquille Perry did not qualify for Mississippi State and will instead attend Junior College.
08/30	2:20am	Charles Bailey	WR	Out For Year	Transfer	Bailey has decided to transfer to Grambling. The junior will have two years remaining. He never had much playing time at Mississippi State.
08/30	2:11am	Kendrick Cook	TE	Out For Year	Neck	Cook has decided to retire from football after multiple neck injuries in his career. The senior was to be a back up this year. Cook retires with 4 starts and 2 receptions.
08/19	4:07pm	Taveze Calhoun	DB	Out For Year	Shoulder	True freshman Taveze Calhoun will likely miss the season after undergoing surgery on his right shoulder. He was not projected to see much playing time this fall.
08/07	6:40pm	Dennis Thames	DB	Out For Year	Dismissed	Thames has been dismissed from the football team due to multiple violations of team policy. The sophomore appeared in 10 games last year and recorded 10 tackles. He was projected to backup senior starting strong safety Charles Mitchell this fall.

Coach Dan Mullen said the sophomore tweaked his knee and will not practice the rest of the week. Russell started 4 games this season and is expected to be ready for the December 30th bowl game against Wake Forest.
12/14	12:17am	Chris Hughes	LB	Questionable	Groin	Hughes has been out with a pulled groin. Coach Dan Mullen wasn't sure when the sophomore would be able to return. Hughes has been banged up all season and has played sparingly due to injuries and suspensions.

11/18	10:47pm	Brandon Maye	LB	Out	Suspended	Maye has been suspended for a violation of team rules. The backup senior linebacker missed the past 2 games due to the suspension. Coach Dan Mullen said that Maye will be reevaluated this week. Maye has 26 tackles in 8 games this season.

10/05	11:10pm	Tyler Russell	QB	Probable	Knee	Russell has been practicing with a large brace on his left knee the past couple of weeks. The backup sophomore said that he has been medically cleared to play and will resume his roll as the Bulldogs #1 backup at the QB position.
10/05	11:07pm	Corey Broomfield	CB	Probable	Thumb	Broomfield said this week that he is playing with a broken thumb. The junior said the injury happened during the second game of the season against Auburn. Broomfield has been playing with a large cast on his right hand. He has started all 5 games this season. Junior Darius Slay has been getting more and more minutes while Broomfield rests.

09/26	12:21am	James Carmon	LT	Questionable	Leg	Carmon injured his left knee in the second quarter against Auburn and hasn't played since. The senior starter was carted off the field. Coach Dan Mullen said that Carmon is day to day and wasn't sure if he would be available for the upcoming game.

Coach Dan Mullen, who won't discuss injuries says that Hughes is "questionable" for the game but didn't give any detail. The sophomore didn't play in week 1 due to a suspension and didn't play in weeks 2 and 3 due to the injury.

The sophomore was flagged on the play for a helmet to helmet infraction. Whitley was a second team freshman All-American last season. He started 11 games last season as a redshirt freshman. He is expected to start this week against LSU on Thursday.
09/12	9:30pm	Quentin Saulsberry	C	Probable	Knee	Saulsberry injured his knee last week in the game against Auburn. Coach Dan Mullen expects the senior to play this Thursday against LSU. Saulsberry has started 39 games in his Bulldog career.

09/07	1:15am	Fletcher Cox	DT	Probable	Suspended	Cox was suspended for week 1 for what the school has called "various violations of team rules". The junior will be available to play in week 2. Cox had 29 tackles and 2.5 sacks last season. He is expected to start for the Bulldogs.
09/07	1:12am	Dylan Favre	QB	Probable	Suspension	Favre was suspended in week 1 for various violations of team rules. The redshirt freshman quarterback is probable for week 2. He isn't expected to see much playing time this season.
09/07	1:10am	Blaine Clausell	LT	Probable	Suspension	Clausell was suspended in week 1 for various violations of team rules. The redshirt freshman is fighting for a starting role against James Carmon. He is probable for week 2.
09/07	12:05am	Ricco Sanders	WR	Questionable	Knee	Sanders had surgery last month to clean up his knee. The sophomore was expected to be a primary backup this fall. He did not play in the season opener is questionable to return soon.

The junior led the Bulldogs the past two season in receiving yards and caught a team high 5 touchdowns last season. Bumphis is also coming off a broken collarbone he suffered in the final game last year.
