2012 OFY Week 17

11/23	1:56am	Taylor Gentry	FB	Out For Year	Ankle	Gentry has been sidelined with an ankle injury and is out for the rest of the season. Gentry has started 21 games in his Wolfpack career. He did not play the past 6 games. On the season, Gentry has 7 catches for 42 yards and 2 TD's. He has 0 rushes on the year.
11/17	12:17am	DJ Green	LB	Out For Year	Foot	Green will miss the rest of the season after having surgery on his foot. The sophomore started the season as the starting outside linebacker for the Wolfpack. Coach Tom O'Brien said the surgery involved a toe but Green should be ready for spring practice next year.
10/16	1:00am	Mustafa Greene	RB	Out For Year	Foot	Greene has been dealing with a foot injury and initially coach Tom O'Brien expected his starting tailback to be out at least the first four games of the season but now will miss the entire season. The junior led the Wolfpack in rushing last year and will be back next season.

09/08	1:03am	Sterling Lucas	LB	Out For Year	Knee	Lucas is out for the year with a knee injury. The senior was listed as backup to starting middle linebacker Audie Cole. Sophomore Ryan Cheek will now be the backup. Lucas had 19 tackles last season for the Wolfpack.

08/11	12:36am	Torian Box	OL	Out For Year	Left Team	Coach Tom O'Brien stated RS freshman Torian Box has left the football program. He was projected to be a backup guard this fall.
08/11	12:33am	Jarvis Byrd	CB	Out For Year	Knee	Byrd has suffered another ACL injury and will miss his second straight season. The sophomore was expected to backup junior starting CB CJ Wilson this fall.
08/05	6:13pm	EJ Carter	LB	Out For Year	Left Team	Carter has left NC State football, according to Coach O'Brien. The sophomore redshirted last year after transferring from Syracuse but may not have been in line to get much playing time this fall.

The fifth-year senior started the season opener and finished with 3 tackles and 2 quarterback hurries. Redshirt freshman Art Norman has started in place of Rieskamp.
11/05	3:10pm	Andrew Wallace	LG	Out	Knee	Wallace is still out from offseason knee surgery. The junior started 11 games at left guard last season. He could be back sometime next month according to coach Tom O'Brien. Wallace has yet to play this season.

11/17	12:13am	RJ Mattes	RT	Questionable	Ankle	Mattes injured his ankle against North Carolina and missed all week of practice. The junior was able to play in the second half against Boston College and is listed as questionable for this week against Clemson.

10/30	11:17pm	Thomas Teal	DT	Out	Foot	Teal has been out since breaking a bone in his foot. The backup defensive tackle broke it during the season opener. The redshirt freshman saw action on 15 plays, making one tackle for a loss.

10/18	11:22pm	JR Sweezy	DT	Out	Foot	Sweezy has suffered a setback with his foot. The senior had sat out the first 4 games this season after breaking his foot back in August. Sweezy did come back and play against Georgia Tech and Central Michigan before re-injuring it. Coach Tom O'Brien has said that Sweezy will not play this week and isn't sure when he will be able to return.
10/16	12:59am	AJ Ferguson	DT	Probable	Knee	Another big blow to the defensive line of the Wolfpack. Ferguson has been sidelined with a knee injury. The sophomore has played in 4 games this season but did not play in the last two. Ferguson has 4 tackles on the season with 1 sack. The Wolfpack has lost 5 defensive lineman to injury this season.

10/10	12:10am	Brian Slay	DT	Questionable	Ankle	Slay rolled his ankle in the Cincinnati game. The junior is listed as doubtful. He has started 4 games this season. Last year he finished with 24 tackles for the Wolfpack.
10/10	12:07am	Curtis Underwood	RB	Questionable	Ankle	Underwood missed the past game with an ankle injury. At the time, the senior was leading the Wolfpack this season with 226 yards through 4 games. He was limited against Cincinnati having only 6 carries for 6 yards. Junior James Washington (47 carries, 169 yards) will see the majority of the snaps.
10/04	2:29pm	Darryl Cato Bishop	DE	Questionable	Hand	Bishop injured his hand during the 3rd quarter against Georgia Tech and didn't return. The sophomore is a regular starter at defensive tackle but was filling in at defensive end when the injury occured.
10/04	2:25pm	Taylor Gentry	FB	Questionable	Ankle	Gentry injured his ankle against Georgia Tech and couldn't play in the second half. The senior was playing offense, defense and special teams against Georgia Tech before getting injured. He is the teams leading tackler on special teams.
10/04	2:21pm	Wil Baumann	P	Questionable	Groin	Baumann strained his groin during pregame warmups against Georgia Tech. The freshman is day to day. J. Ellis Flint took over the punting duties while Baumann was out. Baumann was still able to hold on placekicks.
10/02	11:56pm	Quintin Payton	WR	Doubtful	Ankle	Payton missed the Georgia Tech game last week due to an ankle injury. The sophomore hasn't been able to practice. On the season, Payton has 4 catches for 52 yards in a reserve role.
10/02	11:50pm	Logan Winkles	FB	Doubtful	Knee	Winkles has been out with a knee injury. The redshirt freshman is expected to play a backup role this season. Winkles hasn't played this season. No return date has been announced.
09/22	11:44pm	Terrell Manning	WLB	Out	Knee	Manning will miss the next two games due to a left knee injury. The junior is expected to have surgery on the knee this week and coach Tom O'Brien hopes to have him back for the Virginia game on October 22nd. Manning was 3rd team All-ACC last season after finishing the season with 76 tackles and 5 sacks. Senior Dwayne Maddox will replace Manning in the starting lineup. Manning did not play against Cincinnati.

09/22	11:43pm	JR Sweezy	DT	Doubtful	Foot	Sweezy is still out after breaking his foot last month. The senior captain had 13 tackles for losses and six sacks in 2010. Sweezy is the fourth starter the Wolfpack has lost to injury this fall. Coach Tom O'Brien said that Sweezy is likely out another 2 weeks.

08/22	5:57pm	Duran Christophe	LG	Questionable	Knee	Christophe suffered a meniscus tear and underwent surgery on Aug 10. The redshirt sophomore started for the Wolfpack in its bowl win last season and had been working as the starting left guard in training camp. Coach O'Brien said Christophe will be out 3 to 4 weeks. Redshirt freshman Andy Jomantas and senior Wayne Crawford are listed as the backup guards.
