| 08/06 | 1:26am | Brandon Ware | DT | Out For Year | Transfer | Ware has left the football team due to personal reasons with the intention of transferring to another school. The junior has two tackles in two seasons as a Nittany Lion and was likely to be a backup this fall.

Weekly Injuries
| 10/16 | 6:26pm | Dakota Royer | LB | Out | Hamstring | Royer has yet to play this year dealing with a hamstring injury and remains out indefinitely. The RS freshman reserve is expected to add depth at LB.
| 11/15 | 12:42am | Silas Redd | RB | Probable | Shoulder | Redd suffered a stinger in his shoulder during the last game but is expected to play Saturday at Ohio State. The sophomore stud ranks fourth in the conference with 105.9 yards per game.
| 10/31 | 2:37am | Joe Suhey | FB | Questionable | Neck | Suhey is dealing with a stinger problem and is questionable to return after the week 10 bye. The senior was limited in practice last week, but coach Paterno said he could play Saturday.
| 10/25 | 4:17pm | Derek Moye | WR | Out | Foot | Moye missed the last two games with a broken fifth metatarsal and is expected to sit out the Illinois tilt as well. The senior was leading the team with 28 receptions, 485 receiving yards and three TDs prior to being sidelined. Sophomore Shawney Kersey has received more playing time in Moye's absence.
| 10/25 | 4:14pm | Stephon Morris | DB | Questionable | Undisclosed | Morris did not travel for the last game due to unspecified reasons and his status for the Illinois game is uncertain. Coach Paterno said he had know idea what he was going to do with the junior. Morris has played in six games this year and has 10 tackles.
| 10/25 | 4:10pm | Malcolm Willis | DB | Probable | Shoulder | Willis left the last game with a shoulder injury but coach Paterno said the sophomore is fine. Willis has 13 tackles in seven games played and is probable for the Illinois game.
| 10/23 | 7:57pm | Brandon Beachum | RB | Questionable | Ankle | Beachum missed the last five games with an ankle injury. He was upgraded to probable for Purdue but did not play. Prior to being sidelined, the senior backup ranked second on the team with 81 rushing yards, and his absence creates a pretty good void behind starter Silas Redd.
| 10/16 | 6:35pm | Curtis Drake | WR | Questionable | Leg | Drake has been limited this season coming back from a serious left leg injury last year. The junior practiced last week but did not play vs. Purdue. Coach Paterno is bringing Drake back cautiously and he remains questionable for NW.
| 10/13 | 6:48pm | Stephon Morris | CB | Probable | Ankle | Morris started the week five game in place of the injured D'Anton Lynn and injured his ankle during the contest. He missed the last game but is expected to be available for Purdue. True freshman Adrian Amos was pressed into duty opposite senior Chaz Powell last week.
| 10/13 | 6:47pm | D'Anton Lynn | CB | Probable | Head/Neck | Lynn was carted off the field in week four and taken to the hospital and has not played since. The senior is a huge piece of the defense and should be available for Purdue. He is the team's leading returning tackler from last year and had started every game since his sophomore year.
| 10/06 | 11:40pm | Stephfon Green | RB | Probable | Legal Issues | Green missed the last couple games serving suspension. The senior was cited with four misdemeanors for furnishing alcohol to minors back in July. Sophomore Silas Redd has been receiving the bulk of the carries in recent games. Green might be out of Paterno's doghouse enough to play in week six and has been upgraded to probable.
| 09/25 | 12:01am | Mike Farrell | OL | Questionable | Knee | Farrell sprained a knee in the season opener and has not played since. The junior is the first reserve at tackle and if he is not available for backup duty, sophomore Adam Gress will likely take over. Farrell is questionable for week five.
| 09/17 | 9:08pm | Curtis Drake | WR | Out | Leg | Drake did not travel with the team in week three due to lingering issues in the lower body. Paterno said he was not sure if Drake would even play this year. The sophomore made an impact as a true freshman in 2009 but sat out 2010 with injury. |
| 09/14 | 10:53pm | Chima Okoli | OT | Probable | Ankle | Okoli suffered a sprained ankle vs. Alabama in week two but practiced Monday. The senior should be ready for this week's road contest at Temple.
| 09/10 | 2:26am | Andrew Szczerba | TE | Doubtful | Concussion | Szczerba suffered a concussion in the season opener and still has not been cleared to fully practice. The senior will likely be replaced by sophomore Kevin Haplea.
| 09/10 | 2:18am | Evan Lewis | K | Questionable | Hip | Lewis has a hip flexor and was replaced by true freshman Sam Ficken in the second half of the season opener. Lewis is questionable to play this week and Ficken will likely handle the kicking duties.
| 09/10 | 2:14am | Curtis Drake | WR | Doubtful | Foot | Drake has been recovering from a broken foot and has yet to play this year. The sophomore made an impact as a true freshman in 2009 but sat out 2010 with the injury. He practiced with the team this week and coach Paterno said he is close to playing. Drake has been upgraded from out to doubtful this week.
| 09/08 | 1:32am | Anthony Fera | P | Probable | Disciplinary | Fera has been in Joe Paterno's doghouse for breaking a couple of rules and sat out at the season opener. The sophomore punted 46 times and made 49 kick-offs last year but is now sitting behind fellow sophomore Alex Butterworth on the depth chart. Fera is expected to be a "part of the game" this week vs. Alabama.
| 09/08 | 1:31am | Derrick Thomas | CB | Probable | Disciplinary | Coach Paterno said at his weekly press conference that he expects Thomas to be a "part of the ball game" this week when PSU hosts No. 2 ranked Alabama. The sophomore backup has been in the doghouse.
| 09/02 | 6:20pm | Rob Bolden | QB | Starter | None | Bolden has been named the starter of the season opener vs. Indiana State. The sophomore has edged out junior Matt McGloin, but McGloin is expected to get plenty of playing time Saturday as well.
| 08/30 | 9:42pm | Evan Hailes | DT | Questionable | Blood Clot | Hailes has been out for an extended time due to a blood clot but coach Paterno said he should be able to play soon. The RS freshman is expected to help add depth in the trenches this year.
| 08/26 | 2:19pm | Stephfon Green | RB | Probable | Re-JoinsTeam | Green left the football program for personal reasons earlier this month but is now back with the team. The senior was backup to PSU's career rushing leader, Evan Royster, the past three years and will likely move into the No.3 or No. 4 spot behind sophomore Silas Redd and senior Brandon Beachum.
